The Murray Hong Kong Offers Contemporary Chic Sanctuary and Spacious Accommodation.
The Murray Hong Kong is a relatively new addition to the Hong Kong luxury hotel scene. The Murray building was actually built in 1969 and was at the time the tallest Government building in Hong Kong. It was lovingly converted into a hotel of real class and elegance in January 2018, without detracting from the original award-winning design with its arches and sense of space.
The location is on Cotton Tree Drive in the Central district of Hong Kong Island. Admiralty & Central MTR (metro) stations are about 10 minutes walk. The Star Ferry 12 minutes. The attractive oasis of Hong Kong Park is just a few minutes stroll away.
The airport is about 45 minutes by road transfer.
The Murray is the flagship property of the Niccolo hotel group.
The Murray has a total of 336 rooms and suites. All are bright and contemporary in design and by Hong Kong standards are extremely spacious.
You have a choice of:
Superior Rooms (38 sqm), N1 Deluxe rooms (47 sqm), N2 Grand rooms (50 sqm) N3 Grand Deluxe rooms (50 sqm) and then a selection of Speciality Suites.
Rooms will either face towards the surrounding parks and/or will have an urban city view.
A choice of dining options with the rooftop restaurant and bar – one of the most sought-after tables in town.
Wellness facilities include a gymnasium
An indoor pool and vitality pool
Within the Central and Wan Chai districts
You have numerous alternative restaurants and bars, as well as high-class shopping malls and more traditional street markets
The tram station to The Peak is just a few minutes’ walks away. The Murray concierge can arrange fast track style tickets
The Murray Hong Kong is almost timeless in design, with an uncluttered chic elegance.
It always seems calm and rather serene, even at its busiest moments. The rooms are particularly attractive. As mentioned above, they are large by Hong Kong standards.
This area of Hong Kong Island is the commercial heart of the city so, unsurprisingly, suits might be more in evidence than leisure wear during the office week!

+ About Hong Kong
One of the great city destinations. Exciting with a pace of life that has two speeds, fast and faster! Essentially the city is split in two, separated by the harbour. You have either Kowloon side or Hong Kong island, with good connections linking the two, either by Star Ferry or by the highly impressive MTR subway Link. Travel time from UK approximately 12 hours.
Hong Kong is without doubt one of the most charismatic cities, in our view an absolute must on any Far East touring holiday. Superb shopping, either in the upscale malls or the more authentic street markets. Equally good sightseeing, with a visit to one of the many small islands offering a total contrast – but try to avoid weekends or public holidays. Visit the Peak for super views. Fantastic variety of cuisine.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style. However, the number of restaurants, swimming pools, if more than one, are by example flexible and can change depending on occupancy and circumstances. Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
If your holiday decision is based on any specific facility please let us know at the time of booking so we can ascertain availability from the hotel. Please note, such information may be accurate at the time given but could be subject to change. In these times it would be prudent to be open-minded and flexible on such matters.
The situation on destination entry seems to vary month to month, or in some cases week to week or even day-to-day. This will provide you with information on entry requirements including COVID-19 testing and any quarantine stipulations, especially on return to the UK.
