Shangri-La Singapore is a highly popular deluxe hotel, with appeal to both the leisure and corporate traveller.
Whilst not having quite the same depth of history as Raffles, the luxurious Shangri-La Singapore has been a firm favourite with UK travellers for many years. One of the few hotels to have extensive tropical gardens surrounding a large pool, yet just a few minutes stroll to the shopping & restaurants of the top end of Orchard Road.
Located on Orange Grove Road, a rather desirable and upscale residential area within walking distance of the city centre. The airport is 25 minutes drive away, China Town- Little India and Marina Square are all about 10 minutes by taxi.
Shangri-La Singapore has a choice of 792 rooms, spread over three very different hotel wings.
The rooms are either in the Main Tower or the Garden Wing, which is more leisure influenced. You then have the elegant boutique style Valley Wing, with its separate entrance and exclusive champagne bar. All rooms have been recently enhanced and offer all of the luxuries you expect from the Shangri-la hotel group.
The Tower Rooms are the entry-level rates, and from the top floors, you have good views over the garden suburbs. You have a choice of Deluxe Rooms, Horizon Club Rooms and One-Bedroom Suites. There are Family Deluxe Rooms, with rather unique themed junior bedrooms for children – ask us for details.
The Garden Wing is low rise and might be our suggestion for a leisure stay of 3 nights plus. You have a choice of Deluxe Rooms and One Bedroom Suites. There are Premium One Bedroom Suites with large circular balconies.
The Valley Wing is probably the most luxurious in terms of accommodation. With just over 100 rooms, it has a rather boutique atmosphere, yet with all of the total facilities just strides away. You have a choice of Deluxe Rooms and several Speciality Suites.
The Champagne bar is reserved just for Valley Wing guests and serves light canapes throughout the day and champagne and wine between 5/7 pm daily. Dress code applies.
Numerous restaurants and bars plus many more just a short stroll away at the top end of Orchard Road
Health club & Gym
Buds Interactive Play space Club for children 4 to 12 years
Swimming pool
Chi Spa
And of course, extensive tropical gardens which really are part of the appeal
Shangri-La Singapore is a highly popular deluxe hotel, with appeal to both the leisure and corporate traveller.
The Main Towers provides the entry-level price and offers some good elevated views over the resort or the city skyline. The Garden Wing is more low rise and feels more leisure focused.
The Valley Wing has a more corporate adult boutique style. Whilst some facilities might be limited to either the Garden or the Valley wings, most are available to you throughout the hotel.
Returning guests will be impressed by the new white marble lobby, and the most recent enhancements to the Tower Wing rooms and public areas.

+ About Singapore
Singapore offers a fantastic selection of restaurants and night-life, as well as parks, museums, and on Sentosa Island, beaches.
The skyline is maybe more North American at first glance but, like Hong Kong, go below the obvious and it has some traditional and busy little street markets that offer a perfect contrast to the numerous shopping malls. In our view, Singapore is the very best introduction to the region for the first-time Asia traveller. Plan to spend at least 2 clear days as there is so much to see.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style. However, the number of restaurants, swimming pools, if more than one, are by example flexible and can change depending on occupancy and circumstances. Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
If your holiday decision is based on any specific facility please let us know at the time of booking so we can ascertain availability from the hotel. Please note, such information may be accurate at the time given but could be subject to change. In these times it would be prudent to be open-minded and flexible on such matters.
