In the old Sanskrit language, the word Paresa means Heaven of Heavens. How aptly selected as this is a truly luxurious and discreetly romantic resort, perched high on a clifftop with incredible sunset views out to the Andaman Sea. There is a real sense of destination in the design: dark woods and bright silks skilfully blending with nature.
The location is on Kamala, the central west coast, in the area known as the Amalfi of the Andaman or Millionaires Mile, given the number of extravagant private villas around.
The airport is 45 minutes away, Surin and Kamala beaches about 10/ 15 minutes drive north. At both of these, you will find numerous dining options, especially at Kamala which is known for its seafood beachside restaurants.
The raucous resort of Patong is 15 minutes drive south. A totally different world but can be fun for a wide-eyed night out.
Paresa Resort has a selection of 42 suites and villas with private infinity pools and ample in and out living spaces.
All are west sea-facing and are dotted around the hillside.
Ocean Pool Suite. 140 Sqm with integrated living area, patio and 6 x 4 m pool
Spa Pool Suite. 210 sqm with separate living and spa areas, patio and 6x5m pool
Cliff Pool Villa. 160 sqm with integrated living area, patio and 6x4m pool
Two Bedroom Ocean Pool Suite, Grand Pool Residence and Three & Four Bedroom Grand Villas also available – details on request.
- Dining options
- Cooking classes

Paresa Resort is very deliberately less is more. The emphasis here is on highly personalised service and attention, rather than extensive facilities.
Instant ”Wow “ from the moment you enter. It has been open for about 10 years but remains one of the hushed secrets of Thailand. The design blends into the hillside location so you do need to be prepared for numerous steps. It would not be suitable for those with mobility issues, although a buggy can access all areas.
It is essentially romance & couples focused. Children are accepted but you need to be sensibly vigilant given the private pools and location.

Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
