For those requiring a great beach, quiet location and good quality accommodation, Nai Harn Phuket is a superb choice…
Nai Harn is a relatively new addition to our Phuket selection, opened in late December 2015. Those with long memories might fondly recall the resort as The Royal Yacht Club. Now completely and rather expensively enhanced, with ultra-modern contemporary features. Located on the quieter south-west tip of the island, 60 minutes from the airport.
The proudly raucous Patong nightlife area is about 25 minutes drive, a very different world.
The famous Nai Harn beach is directly in front of the hotel.
Nai Harn Phuket has 120 deluxe rooms and suites.
All are sea-facing in staircase fashion going up the side of the hill. All are bright, spacious with most having a particularly large patio.
You have a choice of:
Deluxe Ocean, Grand Deluxe Ocean, which are larger, and a selection of Junior and Speciality Suites.
Several restaurants with differing cuisine and location options plus there will be a few authentic local alternatives about 10 minutes drive away
Nai Harn beach is regarded as one of the best on the island, usually at its best December through to May . June to November generally sees higher waves , although this bay is more protected than most on the west coast .
It is a popular area but rarely with the crowds found elsewhere on the island
For those requiring a great beach (see notes above), a quiet location (yet with lively Patong just a 25 minute drive away) and good quality accommodation, Nai Harn Phuket is a super choice.
The basic structure of the former Royal Yacht Club remains, but the interiors and the public areas have all been impressively enhanced and now offer a more more contemporary experience
We think Nai Harn combines well as a combination tour of Thailand . We suggest a few nights in Bangkok and then up to Chiang Mai for 3 nights . Continue by direct flight into Phuket for 6 or 7 nights . Phuket has improved air links , both domestically and internationally , so multi centre itineraries are easy to arrange .

Although the Sandbox scheme has improved week on week since its introduction in early July, and most of the southern resorts have a high vaccination rate and low cases, the UK Government has chosen to look at the entire country and made it all on the UK Red traffic light NO GO area.
It is highly probably the resort island of Phuket will re-open to international travellers from the first week of July 2021. We have a few ideas…
The present traffic like system for travel introduced by the UK Government was maybe well-intentioned but has probably lead to even more confusion. So this is an attempt to clarify, in deliberately simplistic terms.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style. However, the number of restaurants, swimming pools, if more than one, are by example flexible and can change depending on occupancy and circumstances. Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
If your holiday decision is based on any specific facility please let us know at the time of booking so we can ascertain availability from the hotel. Please note, such information may be accurate at the time given but could be subject to change. In these times it would be prudent to be open-minded and flexible on such matters.
The situation on destination entry seems to vary month to month, or in some cases week to week or even day-to-day.
