Eagles Palace, Halkidiki, Greece

Eagles Palace is an attractive hotel with a warm welcoming style.

Description & Location

Eagles Palace is a delightful superior first class hotel with many deluxe features, a friendly atmosphere and good facilities. Located on the third finger of the Halkidiki peninsular, close to the sacred Monasteries of Mount Athos, 90 minutes’ drive from Thessalonki airport. The little village of Ouranoupolis is a 5 minute drive away and here you will find some simple Taverna style dining options. The resort is located on a hillside, with steps leading down to a series of cove beaches.

Eagles Palace has a total of 164 rooms, suites and bungalows.

You have a choice of:

Hotel rooms in the main building with either garden or sea view.

A selection of Junior suites with either sea view or sea front

Family Suites with open plan living area suitable for extra bed.

On the hillside a further selection of traditional style Greek Village Bungalows some with private pool.

Facilities and Activities

Extensive tropical gardens
A selection of cove beaches
Choice of restaurant style and location with the beachfront option particularly appealing
Kids club
Selection of water-sports including diving and speedboat trips to the attractive islands just offshore ( extra cost )

Eagles Palace is an attractive hotel with a warm welcoming style. Fantastic repeat business which always says so much. We would probably rate the hotel as a very good first class, rather than deluxe. It’s right on the cusp, maybe intentionally. Eagles Palace is the kind of place where the initial impression is “nice“, but after a few days that has moved up several smiles!

The recent enhancements to the public areas and to the accommodation have been particularly impressive, with those having sea view well worth considering.

See also our feature on Eagles Villas. This is a neighbouring resort under the same ownership and offers a selection of high contemporary villas. Boutique in concept, yet with all of the facilities of the hotel also available to you.

David Revisits Thailand 2022

David Revisits Thailand 2022

I last visited Thailand in December 2021. At the time travel was limited and you had to take a test before and on arrival. This time it was much more open. I arrived in Phuket, showed my Thailand pass and vaccination certificates, and collected my case – all within 45 minutes.

Travel is Back – But Keep Your Expectations Realistic

Confidence to travel again has certainly returned as Covid cases around the world continue to drop. Virtually every country (or at least those Chic Locations feature) has relaxed its entry protocols and whilst there are still a few in-destination regulations these are...

Passport Renewal – Don’t Get Caught Out

Even though the passport office say they can cope with demand at the moment, I have still been told to expect at least 4 /6 weeks for a new passport to arrive. As travel demand increases the longer it will take unless you want to pay extra for fast track…

Maldives – Welcome Back

Maldives – Welcome Back

The UK Government, both the Home office and the Foreign and Commonwealth office, have now approved travel to the Maldives. This is fantastic news and comes at exactly the right time for winter escapism.

Phuket Sandbox Promotion

Although the Sandbox scheme has improved week on week since its introduction in early July, and most of the southern resorts have a high vaccination rate and low cases, the UK Government has chosen to look at the entire country and made it all on the UK Red traffic light NO GO area.

Click for Booking Terms, Price Guides & Flight Information

All price guides are Per Person Sharing Double Room (Entry level), based on travel between May and/or June when prices are generally at their lowest and include promotional offers.
Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.

For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.

For the Mediterranean & Canary IslandsCaribbeanArabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.

*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style. However, the number of restaurants, swimming pools, if more than one, are by example flexible and can change depending on occupancy and circumstances. Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.

If your holiday decision is based on any specific facility please let us know at the time of booking so we can ascertain availability from the hotel. Please note, such information may be accurate at the time given but could be subject to change. In these times it would be prudent to be open-minded and flexible on such matters.

The situation on destination entry seems to vary month to month, or in some cases week to week or even day-to-day. For updated information please refer to the UK Government travel advice https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice. This will provide you with information on entry requirements including COVID-19 testing and any quarantine stipulations,  especially on return to the UK. As you will know this information is constantly changing, frequently at short notice as evidenced by our own Government actions.
