Cocoa Island Maldives is totally at one with nature, with some very pleasing and practical contemporary touches…
Cocoa Island Maldives is located in the South Male atoll, just 35 minutes by speedboat from the international airport. Totally charming, delightfully understated and wonderfully relaxing. It has a simple easy going elegance, with some of the most unique accommodation in the Maldives.
Cocoa Island Maldives’ 33 suites and villas are modelled on traditional Maldivian dhonis (fishing boats) with thatched roofs.
Linked to the island by wooden boardwalks, they are all over water with ladders going into the sea. The interiors are contemporary and stylish. The Deluxe Villas have small integrated living area, the Duplex have raised bedrooms and larger living area. There are also a selection of One and Two Bedroom Villas perched at the extreme end of the resort.

A member of the Como Group of hotels (others include the Metropolitan in Bangkok and London, Parrot Cay in Turks & Caicos, Uma and Shambhala in Bali).
Cocoa Island Maldives offers a similar style of elegant simplicity, totally at one with nature, with some very pleasing and practical contemporary touches. Our clients like the natural charm, the unique accommodation and rather deliberate sense of “old money” style. There are certain resorts that have a more opulent design, but few can match the endearing quality.
Como now has a sister resort in the Maldives, the Maalifushi. A very different resort-style, both in design and location. The resorts would make an interesting twin-centre option.

Supplements will probably apply at other times, particularly mid-summer in the Med, and for rooms and/or transfers arranged for single travellers.
For example, the Caribbean and Indian Ocean prices for winter can be approximately double the May – June level and about 50% more in Asia.
For the Mediterranean & Canary Islands, Caribbean, Arabia and the Indian Ocean (except Sri Lanka) price guides generally include airfare and transfers.
*For Sri Lanka and Far East we show a per person per night hotel guide, excluding airfare, as arrangements tend to be individually tailored multi-centre itineraries.

Due to the ongoing situation with COVID-19, some hotels may have changed their facilities. Standard descriptions like distance from airport or town remain consistent as does the overall resort style. However, the number of restaurants, swimming pools, if more than one, are by example flexible and can change depending on occupancy and circumstances. Spa facilities, in particular, may be changed depending on local and international suggestions.
If your holiday decision is based on any specific facility please let us know at the time of booking so we can ascertain availability from the hotel. Please note, such information may be accurate at the time given but could be subject to change. In these times it would be prudent to be open-minded and flexible on such matters.
