We have some amazing accommodation in Koh Samui & Neighbouring Resorts: Koh Phangan, Koh Tao & Khanom, all of which offer a litte something for everyone.
One of two Malaysian states located on the separate island of Borneo, just under 2 hours flight east from Kuala Lumpur. Situated on the north west corner of the island, our Sarawak Experience Tour is wonderfully eco-influenced, and the real luxury comes in the unique adventure opportunities, rather than the quality of the accommodation. Although the hotels we mention below are pleasant and well located.
The state capital Kuching is small and charming, easy to explore and is a good base for visiting the Semenggoh Orang Utan sanctuary, and a traditional Long House village.
Just a 50 minute flight by Bangkok Airways north of Bangkok, the Sukhothai region is known for its temples, rural scenery and gentle pace. The temples are spread around the region, but all are easily accessible from our chosen host hotel, the Heritage Sukhothai resort, either by bicycle or tuk -tuk taxi. Sukhothai literally means “Dawn of Happiness” and was the capital of the Thai (Siam) Empire for approximately 140 years…
There are many places where you can still enjoy the romantic beach escapism of Thailand – maybe slightly longer transfers, but that rather adds to the real sense of exclusivity and excitement. Here are some of our suggestions…
Vietnam is a fantastic country to explore, with so much rich culture, fascinating ancient and more modern history, and scenic contrasts. Weather wise it is split into three sections, each with their own climate pattern. The north, essentially Hanoi/ Halong Bay can be cold and misty particularly in the months of November to early February, so you need to pack accordingly. It starets to warm up from mid February onwards, and the spring months are generally very pleasant, as is September. July & August can be hot and humid.
On this page we detail just a few of the Vietnam Touring Options, either totally within the country or as a combination with neighbouring countries. All are arranged on a private basis, with driver and guide (different guides will be used throughout the country), so can be easily modified to suit your personal requirements.
As there are no direct flights to Vietnam from the UK, we suggest Bangkok as the most convenient gateway, although Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur can also be used.
Aava Resort and Spa Surat Thani is a delightful, relatively new, boutique hotel with just 28 bungalow style rooms. Located on a super stretch of sandy beach, in a quiet, scenic area which is still wonderfully authentic. You fly from Bangkok to Surat Thani ( 60 minutes ) and then continue by road transfer for just over another hour to the resort.
Amari Vogue Krabi is an attractive Northern Thai Lanna inspired design, built on the side of a hill with steps leading down to an extensive beach front.
Located at Tubkaek beach, 40 minutes west of Krabi Airport and 20 minutes from the lively resort of Ao Nang.
The Anantara Chiang Mai is regarded as one of Northern Thailand’s most elegant and luxurious hotels, perfectly positioned on the banks of Mae Ping river, yet with the famous night market just a few minutes walk away.
There are few better ways to see Bangkok than from the famous Chao Phyra River that cuts through the city. Be amazed by how much the river influences everyday life, from transferring smartly dressed executives to and from their offices, saffron robed monks on the way to temple, children going to school. Everyone uses the river, indeed many live on stilts alongside it.
The Anantara Golden Triangle Resort is located in the extreme north of Thailand at the point where the Mekong River separates Thailand from Laos and Burma (Myanmar). Chiang Rai airport is 45 minutes away.
