Description and Location
A superb resort hotel, in a quiet setting, overlooking an expansive bay, with a dense tropical forest backdrop. You travel from Krabi airport for 40 minutes to the ferry point, and then by speedboat for another 35 minutes (during the period May to October, when sea swells can be high, the transfer might be by road throughout taking about 2 hours).

Accommodatiion
The resort consists of 121 deluxe rooms, suites and villas, all dotted around the hillside. The deluxe rooms are in small two storey clusters, with sea facing balconies. Deluxe bay front rooms are closer to the beach and have integrated living space. You also have a selection of one and two bedroom beachfront villas either with shared or private pool.

Elevated high above the main resort you have a selection of stunning one, two and three bedroom villas, all with their own infinity swimming pools, extremely spacious with generous indoor and outdoor living room and spectacular views. A buggy service links the villas to the main hotel.

Facilities and Activities
Facilities are extensive and include several speciality restaurants in differing locations throughout the resort, main beach front swimming pool plus additional elevated swimming pool for villa guests only, spa, comprehensive sports centre with tennis courts, gym and jogging tracks. A range of non-motorised water sports can be arranged, subject to weather conditions. Dive centre (usually open November to May).

Koh Lanta is one of the most scenic of the islands, with a number of eco influenced adventure tour options arranged through the resort, including jungle walks and elephant trekking.

Koh Lanta is not known for its nightlife and its main attraction is the gentle charm, the easy going pace and the stunning natural attractions both on land and at sea. However close to the Pimalai there are a couple of simple restaurant options and a few totally authentic atmospheric ‘Led Zeppelin’ influenced, beanie cushioned bars which make for a fun retro style night out. Then the next day, soothe those aching limbs with some deserved pampering in the spa!

Chic Check – Good all round appeal for couples and families, with an attractive and expansive beach front and excellent facilities. For spectacular views and elegance, the villas are highly recommended, but even the deluxe rooms – most of which have been totally enhanced in the last couple of years – are very attractive and conveniently positioned. As there are a number of steps throughout the resort, it would not be suitable for those with mobility problems. The management team, despite being French, are excellent, extremely proactive!
