Location and description
One of the most established properties in Kuala Lumpur, centrally located within the heart of the leisure and commercial area. There are numerous shopping malls and restaurants just a short 5 minute walk away, as well as the famous Petronas Towers. The airport is approximately 60 minutes, depending on traffic.
515 rooms and suites. You have a choice of deluxe rooms, some with Club floor access, and a selection of one and two bedroom speciality suites.
Several highly acclaimed themed restaurants and bars, attractive Greco- Roman style swimming pool, gym and leisure club. Many additional restaurant and nightlife options close by.
Chic Check – The word “Istana” means Palace in the Malay language, and this will take on particular relevance when you see the ornate and opulent design. We would probably describe as good superior first class rather than the official classification of deluxe, leaving you to be pleasantly surprised with the overall value. We are very impressed with the restaurants and location, a little less so with the room quality despite recent renovation.
Well located for exploring the city centre with its numerous shopping options and parks. As is common with most hotels in KL, the Istana is particularly popular with Middle East visitors, especially in the mid summer months. The hotel is under the same ownership as The Danna in Langkawi so special twin centre combination rates apply.
Nightly price from £39
Example prices shown in the website (and brochure) are based on travel in either May and/or June when the hotel prices and airfares are at their lowest.
