Four Seasons Resort
Located on the main island of Mahe, on the secluded Baie Lazare in the south west corner just 30 minutes from the airport and 40 minutes from the capital Victoria.
Opened in 2009, and immediately acclaimed as one of the most luxurious hotels in the Indian Ocean. Built on a hillside dramatically overlooking the beach, there are just 62 villas and 5 speciality two and three bedroom suites. Most of the villas have a hillside location, with those closer to or on the beach commanding a supplement. All villas are extremely spacious, built on stilts, and have main bedroom and living area, outdoor decking and plunge pool.
Facilities include main swimming pool, a choice of restaurant and location, spa, fitness centre, kids club. Non motorised water sports ( see note below ).
Chic Check – Outstanding quality, plus all of the Management expertise associated with Four Seasons. The resort takes full advantage of the natural tropical setting, so you need to be prepared for steps, although a buggy will operate on demand for those less mobile or energetic. The beach here is regarded as one of the very best on the island, although you do need to take advice on sea currents which can be deceptively strong at times. The Seychelles tend to come at the high end of the price scale and this is reflected with the Four Seasons. You are buying an exclusive destination where tourism is probably no further forward in numbers than 20 years ago, something that probably has its own attraction.
Prices From £2100 per person.
Example prices shown in the website (and brochure) are based on travel in either May and/or June when the hotel prices and airfares are at their lowest. As such supplements are likely to apply for travel in other periods. All prices shown per person and are calculated on the basis of two persons sharing.
