Description and Location
One of the most spectacular hotels in the region, if not the world. Built at a conservative estimate of at least 3 billion US$, it is totally opulent, said to have the greatest number of chandeliers of any hotel, the most marble and gold leaf. Located on a private stretch of beach at the end of Abu Dhabi’s famous Corniche, just a few  minutes’ drive from the city and 25 minutes from the airport.

Accommodation
The 394 rooms and suites are all spacious and elegant, gilded and marble clad, with equally splendid lush fabrics and cushions. You have a choice of view, the Coral rooms overlooking the gardens, the Pearl rooms having partial sea view, and the Diamond rooms directly facing the sea. In addition you have a further selection of speciality suites offering even greater space.

Facilities and Activities
Facilities include numerous restaurants, swimming pools – one more suited to children with water slide, kids club, spa, tennis. Designer shops that might test the limit of your credit cards.

Chic Check – One of the most sensational hotels. Think Taj Mahal meets the Palace of Versailles, and then add a considerable amount of Arabian opulence! The East Wing side of the resort tends to be more couples focused, whilst the West Wing has more family attractions with the pool having a water slide and more informal dining options.

CONSTRUCTION NOTE – Abu Dhabi is rapidly expanding, so expect to see cranes and construction work. This is noticable opposite the main entrance – although as the grounds and driveway are extensive it is  more visual more than audible – and on the extreme left ( west) side of the resort, albeit in the distance.
