Last night (01 March) Sue and I had the privilege of attending the unveiling of the new images for the incredible Datai Langkawi hotel in Malaysia.
The hotel is currently under further enhancement and is closed until mid-summer 2018. During this time an investment of in excess of US$60m will be spent on bringing more contemporary luxurious touches to the accommodation and public areas, without detracting from the essential natural simplicity, which is all part of the attraction. As you can see from a few glimpses here, it is all very impressive.
At Chic we like to say “It is not simply about the best hotel – just the right one…”
We like discussing the pros and cons of all enquiries so our clients can be perfectly matched with their realistic expectations . With the Datai, it is a luxurious resort and is priced accordingly. Frankly, that is also part of the appeal. The setting is just stunning, but you do need to be comfortable with nature. Here part of the attraction is seeing monkeys swinging through the trees in front of you. However, if your opinion is that for the high price you pay, you don’t expect to see monkeys having the cheek to invade your luxury , then reconsider your options.
As a price guide for travel in September / October 2018 with 7 nights at the hotel including air travel you are going to be looking at around £2,680 per person, or £3,660 for travel in January / February 2019.
