Mount Agung Update – The volcano is in a critical phase, but has not yet erupted.
Further to our previous advice, nothing new has really happened over the last three weeks. The volcano is still spewing out smoke on a daily basis and the villages at the foot of the mountain remain evacuated. Village life 10 miles away is returning to normal, albeit with one eye on the mountain.
The main resort areas are at least 30 miles away and have not been affected at all, other than they have seen a slight decrease in arrivals, especially from around the Asia region.
We continue to receive daily reports on this, but unless there is a drastic change, in either possible direction, we shall not be releasing any additional updates. Of course, if you have any concerns please call David at Chic locations on 020 7944 1973 or send him an email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Bali is moving into its slightly less busy months of November to January with intercontinental travellers, although it usually remains in high demand from regional tourists.
