Sue from Chic recently spent a well earned weeks holiday where she discovered some authentic Chic Locations in Greece.
First stop was Athens, where she stayed at the contemporary and rather funky New Hotel, centrally located and just a short stroll to the famous Plaka district and the Acropolis.
She then drove herself from Athens, heading west towards the Southern Peloponnese, where she stayed at the wonderfully authentic Kinsterna Hotel at Monemvasia. A stunning 17th century Byzantine mansion with just 50 rooms. Totally boutique in its style with the emphasis on personalised tailored experiences. Hiking, biking, or just strolling around the cobbled streets of Monemvasia. Superb local cuisine, with many of the ingredients grown on the hotels own estate.
This is a very different side of Greece, with the luxury coming in the delight of finding something unique. It may not appeal to those who just want a fly & flop beach holiday, but for those who really want something individual and adventurous, with genuine hospitality, Kinsterna will tick all the boxes.
