A very different view of the Acropolis and Athens, but still rather attractive. The cold spell has really hit most of Eastern Europe, with many flights using Istanbul as gateway cancelled due to heavy snows. And apparently it’s now moving west towards the UK.
At Chic we don’t tend to promote Greece until the resorts open in Mid to late April, but travelling in the winter months to Athens or Thessalonica can give you a very different experience.
And as we are talking about Greece, it looks as though it is going to have a fantastic summer season if the advance demand is anything to go by. It is popular in its own right, plus this demand is fuelled by the fact that Egypt, Tunisia and Turkey are now virtually “No Go“ areas. We are seeing the same demand for Spain and the Canary Islands and Portugal.
We have some super early booking discounts, but these cut off either in January or February. Hoteliers are being commercially pragmatic. They want British business, but if we can’t afford it, there will be others that can!
