The little village of Mougin is just a few minutes walk away (see image 5) and is wonderfully atmospheric, and has a number of equally attractive restaurant options, artists galleries and quite pricey souvenier shops. Mougin Town is about 15 minutes walk away, considerably longer coming back as all uphill and here you will find some convenience shops. For the less agile a local bus service operates.
For those looking for an autumn / winter romantic break, Le Mas Candille is highly recommended. The days are usually bright and crisp, just cold enough to entice you to snuggle up but without the clutter of overcoats!Chic Check – For the right client, seeking something genuinely individual, combining authenticity with concessions to modernity, in a quiet typical French village, Le Mas Candille is outstanding. Gentle and refined. Whilst the summer months are the most popular, the autumn and winter months are equally attractive when the days can be cold but bright and sunny, the air crisp and refreshing. Car hire might be considered as this area is interesting with many quaint villages as well as the larger coastal towns and resorts. However expect the roads to be particularly busy in mid July to end August.
